Ever since the debut of the sideways cross, we have included a wide variety of sideways crosses in our store selection. Many of you had requested special colors and designs, some of which we obliged. Is this going to be one of those passing trends, or is it something that’s here to stay? What do you think? Yay or nay?

Think outside the box

November 1st, 2012

We see many artisans coming in and out of the store daily. As they checkout their basket of glistening jewels, I like to guess what their finished product may look like. Sometimes, I have absolutely no idea and it makes me really curious to find out. Once, our beading instructor bought an odd collection of materials and random pieces. She later brought in a stunning piece of necklace that belongs in an art museum! Here’s one of her pendant. If you would like to learn how to make it, join us in our beading class!

What are you making now? Step outside the box and start creating! Bring in your creations, we would love to see them!

Sweet Sweet Love

October 27th, 2012

This is not only a store full of beads, but also a place full of Love.
A Saturday morning corner catch:

No matter you are visiting our store or shopping online, we CARE and we LOVE.
Here comes another design from our lovely Maggie. The concept means nature, care, and love. Materials are available in the store.

Guess who can design too?

October 26th, 2012

All of you who have been in the store know that the owner Maggie is like a landmark in the midst of all our beads. Walking into the store, you will hardly miss her standing in the front at the cash register, sweetly greeting you in her soft voice. Little do you know she is quite a designer herself! Here’s one necklace she made using quartz and angelic crystals.

unexpected designer in house

I love the shade of blue in this necklace, reminds me of the deep ocean in midnight. Pretty cool and mysterious… We do have the same quartz and crystals in a gazillion colors here for you to ‘experiment’ with. Stop by soon!

Welcome to Bead on Beads’ blog!

We are introducing a new segment of our blog, the “Designer’s Showcase’ where we will be featuring the exquisite work of our most valued customers. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to be considered as a feature in this showcase.

Jennifer Tomkivits is the owner of Spur it Up. Being here in Texas, her designs most definitely bring out the ‘cowgirl’ in us. Using the beads she bought from us, she was able to create some “HEE HAW” designs. Here are some of her awesome necklaces:

Enough of all the ogling at her designs, check out her store here!
